Two small gasolene motorsmounted at the sides give the car a maximumspeed of 40 miles an hour, which can be main-tained all day if necessary. The operation issimple, and five passengers can be seated. Thecar can be lifted from the track by two men,and it has been found of great value for in-spection work, permitting officials to stop offat any point without interfering with schedules.
