Its plan isadapted to the irregular shape of the summit, which itoccupies entirely, but contrives to have something likea central tower and a semi-circular aisle. A lofty towerrises at one corner. The ascent is by a long flight of steps cut in therock, and room is found on the summit for a narrowwalk round the building defended by a stone parapet. The entrance (Plate CXXIV) is by a door at thehead of a steep flight of stairs under a horse-shoe trefoiledarch, and the whole of the little fa9ade is decorated withmosaic of basalt, white stone,
