An early 19th century illustration of the River Neste as it flows through Sarrancolin, a small town in the Aure valley in Hautes-Pyrénées, in the Occitan region of France. A medieval town, Sarrancolin is known throughout history for its marble mines, used in Versailles, the Opera Garnier of Paris and the Empire State Building in New York.
