The Adjutant General of the Michigan National Guard congratulates Capt. Amie Kemppainen and her 7 year old daughter following a ceremony where Kemppainen took command of Company B, 126 Infantry. By taking this command, Kemppainen has earned the distinction of being the first female infantry commander in the Michigan National Guard and one of the first in the United States Army.
