Chemistry of Fertilizers and Soils. Professor PetersThis course includes the preparation from natural sources of superphosphate, sulfate of potash, muriate of potash, the doublesulfate of potash-magnesia; caustic potash from wood ashes; ammo-nium sulfate from gas liquor; potassium nitrate from chili also includes a study of the absorption of these salts by the soil anda qualitative analysis of the soil. The discussions are informal and aregathered about the topics at hand. High
