A North Indian kulah khud, 17th century One-piece hammered sturdy skull of wootz Damascus(?) with four (partially heavily rubbed) calligraphic cartouches and applied quadrangular spike. The obverse with two riveted chiselled eyelets with globular ornaments and adjustable pierced nasal bar (locking screw missing). The lower edge with continuous cut (rubbed) inscription with attached aventail of predominantly riveted iron rings. Patinated skull. Height circa 47 cm.
