The 336th Meeting of the Morris Ring at the Thaxted Morris Weekend, hosted by the Thaxted Morris Men, Thaxted Essex, England. 1-2 June 2013 Seen here: Morris Men form up to process to Thaxted Parish Church on Sunday ( 2 June 2013 ) morning to attend a sung mass and sermon. During the day dozens of Morris Dancing Sides ( teams ) process in different tours around north Essex performing traditional Morris Dances outside local pubs. In the evening there is a massed dance of over 200 Morris dancers in Town Street Thaxted followed by the haunting Thaxted version of the Abbots Bromley Horn Dance. At about The Thaxted side process in the dark through the town lit only by street lamps, carrying Stag horns and Stag Heads to the Wheelright Robinson Tune played by a lone fiddle player.
