The door is flanked by embedded Ionic columns and receding panels and pilasters. Above is a framed inscription tablet flanked by alternatively suggested motifs, an urn at left, a figure at right. Seated genii support a papal escutcheon, on top. Below, at right: a circular pavilion stands upon a rock from which water pours. Horses and mermen are shown upon lower laterally protruding parts of the rock.
