The stadium at aphrodisias was designed to accommodate a large number of people up to 30,000 seated in 30 rows. The stadium was the venue of athletic races and events like wresting, discus throws etc. The arena was also used for art events and gladiator sports featuring wild beasts. The main function was using the venue for Pythian game which featured events similar to olympic events of modern day.
