Weddings and wedding photography are a huge industry in China. Each City has its known venues for wedding photography. In Qingdao, photographs are taken outside St Michael's German Cathedral. At weekends, particularly, huge numbers of couples have their pictures taken. Nearby side-streets are filled with minibuses, carrying several couples and paraphernalia. The side-streets, also, act as impromptu make-up studios.
