Participants deplane from a Dover Air Force Base, Del. 436th Airlift Wing, 3rd Airlift Squadron's C-5 Galaxy at Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri, Guyana. New Horizon '97 is the first combined humanitarian and civic assistance exercise conducted between the United States and Guyana. Military personnel from the Air Force, Air Force Reserve & National Guard, Army, Army National Guard and Marine Corp participated in the exercise which included engineering and medical readiness training.
