Materials are lined up along the living shoreline in preparation to extend the new shoreline further out into Lake Ontario, Olcott, , June 8, 2017. The living shoreline replaces the original shoreline, where stones and material are pulled from the lake to build up a new shoreline which is then reinforced with concrete walls. The process is repeated until the it is extended out to a predetermined distance.
