Tree a vigorous grower, with top like Early Richmond, but darker l aik ; leaf large, thick and firm in texture ; fruit medium to large in size ; long stem ; color, dark purple when fully ripe ; time of ripening very late. The original trees ha\e not failed to prodace a full or partial crop fur the past sixteen years. ARRICOTS. The Apricot is one of the most beautiful of the stone-fruits, reseniblinj; the plum in shape, but downy like a peach, and partaking largely of its and flavor. It requires the same management as the plum to protect it from curculio. 'Early Golden. Medium, pale orange ; llesh yellow, juicy, sweet and good ; vigorous V grower and productive. Heinskirke. Large and fine, resembles the Moorpark, but earlier. Moorpark. Large size ; orange, brownish red in the sun ; flesh quite firm, juicy, with a rich, luscious flavor ; one of the best. Royal. Large ; skin dull yellow, with an orange cheek; flesh pale orange, firm and juicy, free from ihe stone. RUSS/AN APR/COTS. The Russian Apricots are clainud to be in every way superior to the American varieties in early bearing and (]uality of fruit, as well as hardiness of trees and free- dom from all disease. Alexander. An immense bearer. Fruit large, yellow, flecked with red ; both skin and flesh sweet ; delicious. Season July i. One of the best. 'Alexis. An abundant bearer.
