Cormorant on a lake flipping a large fish in its beak.
Photograph shows a cormorant on a lake. The bird has captured a large fish which it is flipping in its mouth and droplets of water are falling from the fish and the bird's beak and indenting on the still water of the lake. The lake is still with a small swell which is catching the soft light in a beautiful fashion. The cormorant's green eye is clearly shown and the feather structure of the head and neck is crisp and detailed. The fish is silver with orange fins which are depicted in clear detail. The cormorant is swimming slowly in the lake creating a small bow wave at its breast and the calm water is disturbed by its passage.
