Fawkes, Esq., of Farnley Hall, nearOtley, and whilst in his possession, obtained the following premiums, viz.—As the bestyear old bull, at Otley, in April, 1838, the premium of three guineas; as the best twoyears old bull, at Leeds, in September, 1839, the Yorkshire Agricultural Societys pre-mium of twenty sovereigns (at the same time he won a match of five guineas, againstMr. Tempests celebrated bull, Dan OConnell, which obtained the first
