Jilunt dissection along the side of thebodies of the vertebrae discovers the abscess. If the abscess gives no lateralsymptoms the opening should be made preferably on the right side. in. abscess of the lower spinal region urgency is not apt to arise. Heretentative measures should first be taken. Aspiration should be practised ifspontaneous rupture threatens or if the presence of the abscess interfereswith proper treatment of the bo
