Reisja, a 7-year-old Belgian Malinois from the Department of Defense (DoD) K-9 Unit, participates in training exercises at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC), Arlington, Virginia, March 1, 2018. A course was set up through the ANC service complex to simulate a usual sweep that Reisja would conduct. The K-9 Unit conducts sweeps of suspicious packages, vehicles, and buildings to ensure a safe working environment, and in association with high-level threats throughout the National Capital Region. All DoD K-9s must complete several courses throughout the year in order to stay an active service dog.
