Inner portion is beautifully blanched, and stands for a considerable time before running to seed. Outer leaves a deep, rich green. We offer an extra choice strain. Per pkt. 5 cts.; oz. 15 cts.; 2 ozs. for 25 cts.; «4 lb. 40 cts.; per lb. $ ICEBERG LETTUCE.© There is no handsomer or more solid cabbage lettuce than Burpee's Iceberg in cultivation— in fact, it is strikingly beautiful. The large curly leaves which cover the outside of the solid heads are of a bright light green. The unusual -solidity of the heads is insured by the large white main ribs of the leaves, each of which, curving strongly into the center, acts like a truss, making it impossible for the leaves to open outward and expose the center, which is constantly thoroughly blanched. It matters not whether grown to head in the early spring or the hottest days of summer, the leaves are always crisp and tender. Per pkt. 5 cts.; oz. 15 cts.; 2 ozs. 25 cts.
