He was highly esteemed for his chris-tian character and kindly help to all in need;d at the age of 42. Margaret Craig Eaton wasdistinguished by all the characteristics ofher race, intellectual, moral and religious, astrong and notable woman. The issue of thismarriage was nine children. Issue: 1 Robert became a merchant in London,Ontario and St. Marys; d in 1893 2 James also a dry-goods merchant; d in1904 3 John remained on the home farm and din 1895 45678 Sara. TIMOTHY EATON (736) IRISH BRANCH 737 9 Timothy b in the townland of Cloghertwo miles from Ballymena, county Antrim,Ireland; m in 1834, Margaret Beattie Timothy Eaton, son of John Eaton and Margaret Craig; b in Ireland in 1834; d inToronto, Canada, Jan. 31, 1907; being theyoungest of nine children. In 1850-1 heentered the apprenticeship of a merchant inthe town of Portglenone; his time served in1857 he followed his elder brothers to he found employment in Glen Williamsand a little later set up for himself in thevillage of Kirkton. Under the ministry of theRev. Alexander Campbell, in a Methodistrevival he became a Methodist, but neverdid he forget the foundations of religious lifelaid under the instructions of his godly Presby-terian mother and the ministrations of thechurch of his forefathers. With his brotherhe removed to St. Marys, later removing toToronto where after sixteen years of patienttoil he secured
