When the Andrew McLean Companycelebrated its eightieth anniversary in 1906a writer covering the subject in one of thetextile journals made the following state-ment: The Andrew McLean Company,manufacturers of finished cotton goodsspecialties, have grown through the lon^jears of experience, and wonderful havebeen the changes from the early days, whenhand labor was essential to every process,and while there have been many changes iithe method, the greatest progress has beenwith the ever increasing development ofpower driven machinery.
