M. Johnson & Son. Herehe continued for two years uiitl lie decided to fol-low his father to Michigan. He remained with hisfather until March 24, 1869, when he was marriedand settled on the farm where he now Tives. Hisfather at tliis time presented him with seventj-sixacres of land, upon which lie for four yearsand then went to Vernon to take a clerkship forNichols <t Herrington.
