Confrontations erupt between Palestinians and Israeli troops on the borders of the Gaza Strip on the east of Khan Yunis, as Palestinians were protesting against the transfer of the American Embassy to Jerusalem. A number of protesters were injured by live bullets and tear gas fired at them by the Israeli Army. On 6th December 2017 US President Trump announced his controversial decision to consider Jerusalem as Israel's capital and to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
