Gibraltar. 16th August, 2015. On Saturday 15th August a life guard rescue vessel at Catalan Bay drifted precauriously towards the rock after lifeguards onboard the vessel were unable to restart the engine. With the assistance of a canoeist just in the area the lifegaurds were able to come away from the rocks to safety. The incident has raised concerns as to the level of maintenance of the outbaord engines of the rescue vessel which is said to frequently fail. Credit: Stephen Ignacio/Alamy Live News
