Com- paratively high of scat on rye were also noted in Missouri where the previous crop had teen corn. llo outstanding casus of ^ resistance were reported, nor were any other practicable con- trol rig. 10. Anthracnose on rye was reported as having occurred in a number of im- portant rye producing states in 1919> some states in considerable ami-unts, The disease was definitely reported from Llinnesota, V/isconsin, Iowa, Alisscuri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennesstae and Alabama. It was reported as severe in southern Virginia, Alabama, southern Indiana and dif- ferent parts of Iowa and Ohio, In Alabama it was said to be the "worst disease of rye in the state" by E. F. Hopkins. In the Experiment Station plots at Auburn the disease was re- ported as unusually severe by G. L. Peltier. He has Kindly furnished the fol- lowing data, Table 11.
