1933 Willys Gasser pictured in front of Meadow Brook Hall was owned by Virg Cates and painted by Angelo. Engine is a small block Chevy built for C/Gas supercharged (small cubic inches) Girdle on main caps. Crank Shaft Company crank. Mickey Thompson Aluminum rods and pistons. Crane Cam and fireball heads. Sneeky Pete 6-71 blower. B&M Clutch Flight Transmission (torque flight with a clutch). Old style Olds rear end. Steel body and rear tire panel. Fiberglass nose, doors, rear fender and trunk lid. The car is shown here unrestored with original paint. B/G NHRA National Winner C/A NHRA National Winner 1320 Standard Record Holder 1965 world champion This fantastic car was shown on Media Day for the Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance on July 28, 2009. The years theme was "The Best of Detroit" Meadow Brook Hall was built between 1926 and 1929. It was the home of Mathilda Dodge (widow of auto pioneer John Dodge) and her second husband Alfred G Wilson lumber broker. The Tudor Revival style mansion is 88,000 square feet with 110 rooms. In 1957 the residence was donated to Oakland University.
