Taunt, photographer (British, 1842 - 1922) about 1886 One of three tipped-in photographs illustrating a printed map of Sandford, Radley, and the surrounding area along the River Thames. The photograph shows a view of a pool of water on the river known as the Sandford Lasher. The Sandford Weir is visible on the edge of the pool with a stone memorial (dedicated to those who drowned in the pool) standing at the center.
