In Westboro, nexton our ride, Eli Whitney, inventor of the cotton gin, was born. Southboro is largely a pastoral community and contains abouttwo hundred farms, ranging in size up to one thousand acres—among them the celebrated Deerfoot Farm. The Air Linedoes not run thro Southboro, but about one mile south of it,at Whites Corner, a transfer point. A step up the hill, andone seems in the midst of a vast solitude
