WOOD'S GRASS AND CLOVER MIXTURES were the first combined mixtures offered in this country adapted to different soils and mixed for hay or permanent pasture. We commenced these mixtures with the view of suitability of seed to soil and use, thereby doubling the crop in many instances. Other seedsmen are now copying us and offering these mixtures, which, however, appear to be defective in important particulars. In the following mixtures we have combined different grasses in proper proportions to suit va- - rious soils, and likewise for mowing or grazing, or both. Those for cutting for hay are mixed to ripen together; those for grazing are composed of grasses to succeed each other through the season. Mixtures from I to 5 are combined for grazing, but can be likewise mown. No. I Mixture, for light, dry, gravelly, or sandy soils. Composed of the following grasses: Hard Fescue, Sheep Fescue, Red Top, Red Clover, Kentucky Blue Grass, Crested Dogtail, Awn- less Brome, Tall Meadow Oat Grass, White Clover. Price per bushel of 14 lbs., $ Special prices quoted on large quantities. It requires two to three bushels to seed an acre. No. 2 Mixture, for good loam soil. Composed of grasses as follows: Hard Fescue, Tall Meadow Oat Grass, Orchard Grass, Red Top, Red Clover, White Clover, Meadow Foxtail, Meadow Fescue, Kentucky Blue. Price per bushel of 14 lbs., $, It requires two to three bushels to seed an acre. No. 3 Mixture, for heavy loam or clay soil.
