A fine sabre with ivory grip for officers., Nickel-plated pipe-backed blade (somewhat spotted) with yelmen, a manufacturer's mark on the ricasso above etched sailing ships with tendril decoration and a blued foul anchor with gilt imperial crown. The reverse etched "M. Neumann, Berlin Hoflieferant". Back plate with a lion's head pommel in relief showing remnants of gilding and inset green and red glass eyes. Ivory grip with brass wire wrapping. A collapsible counterguard locks the sabre to the leather scabbard which has brass fittings. Length 95 cm. With attache,
