Vase ca. 1890–1900 Georges Hoentschel French Hoentschel was an interior decorator and a collector of medieval and eighteenth-century decorative art. Like his close friend Jean Carriès, he designed Art Nouveau ceramics and was the architect of the pavilion of the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle. This stoneware vase features an architectural framework that adds visual contrast to the naturalistically carved floral Vase 238560
