Possibly the tribe ofproganosaurs migrated by thevery circuitous route of Europeand North America, or Asia andthe Northwest; but that is veryimprobable, since nothing what-ever resembling them has everbeen found in the NorthernHemisphere, and it is quitecertain that in the many thou-sands of years it must havetaken them to travel fromsouthern Africa to SouthAmerica many of the reptilesmust have perished on the wayand left their remains in therocks. The only conclusionthat seems probable is thatthere was a direct land commu-nication in those olden timesbetween Africa, or at leastIndia, and South America acrosswhat is now the Atlantic course this route will bevery difficult to prove, since wecan never get to the bottomof the ocean to hunt forfossil proganosaurs.
