Marines with 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command, conduct a patrol to locate a notional downed pilot during a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel exercise while forward deployed in the Middle East, July 12, 2017. The TRAP mission is performed by an assigned aircrew and infantry unit in order to recover downed personnel, equipment, and aircraft. SPMAGTF-CR-CC is a self-sustaining expeditionary unit, designed to provide a range of crisis response capabilities.
