Mirrored tile ceiling resembling Persian carpet, Zinat ol Molouk House, Shiraz, Iran
Garden and historic Persian house of Narenjestan e Ghavam (Qavan) House, Shiraz, Iran. Originally a private house, built between 1879 and 1886 by Mirza Ibrahim Khan, the house is a superb example of a traditionally styled house with a central court yard and beautiful classic enclosed Persian garden built on the traditional cross plan, lined by parallel rows of trees with a long pool containing a series of fountains down the middle. The mosaic tiles in the ceiling of some rooms are designed to mimic those of Persian carpets.
