Priory of St Mary, St Peter, And St Paul, Castle Acre, King's Lynn And West Norfolk, 1940-1949. View of the west front of Castle Acre Priory, seen from outside of the ruins, and the Prior's Lodgings, a 12th century building altered in the 15th and 16th centuries which stands to the right of the west front. There are stone stairs that lead to the upper floor of the lodgings which are no longer on the site. The whole of the west front can be seen in the centre of the image. The site is cared for by Engish Heritage.
