Widely,Portsmouth Sunday 2nd May 2016 Police are appealing for help to piece together the last moments of a female biker who sadly died following a fatal crash involving a motorbike this afternoon in Portsmouth . Emergency services were called to the incident just before 3pm today(Monday May 2) The lady in her 40 from the South London area was riding a black motorbike along the A3 London Road towards Widley when her machine collided with the central kerb parallel to The George Inn. A rapid response paramedic and ambulance crew were both sent to the scene and attempted to carry out life saving treatment on the woman at the side of the road was carried out before she was rushed to QA hospital but despite these efforts the woman sadly died. Police believed that the woman may suffered some sort medical episode prior to the crash from speaking to witnesses and don't believe that speed was a factor. Police closed off the road for three hours this afternoon to carry out accident investigation work. A spokesman from the Havant Roads Police team of Hampshire Constabulary speaking at the scene said : “We are trying to piece together exactly what happened and would appeal for anyone with information to contact us who saw the bike and the woman prior to the crash. “Even the smallest piece of information could help us build a picture of what happened. “A woman has tragically lost her life and our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.” Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111. @UKNIP
