Christophe LeTynevez on the Chefs' Demo Stage, at the OnBlackheath Festival 2017

Christophe LeTynevez, decided at the tender age of seven that a career in cooking was the one for him. He began his training at 15 in his native France, spending four years learning his trade before moving to London in 1993 to work as a pastry chef for high-end hotel specialists the Conrad Group, as well as many high-quality restaurants. After rising to the rank of Head Baker he created Euphorium Bakery, which was then snapped up by Tesco. Fifteen years ago he bought a taste of France to Blackheath, opening fine French bakery and patisserie Boulangerie Jade a short walk from the festival site. Since then he has opened three more branches and another will be on the way this autumn.
