Clean culture and renewed plantations every six to ten years are recommended for best results. QUINCES This fruit is little grown here. Now and then a bush is found on the older estates. The quince is perfectly hardy, with a long season for marketing, not perishable, and if given a little care and modern culture, we believe it will be a suc- cess. Fire-blight is the worst disease of the quince. This rshould be cut out and burned whenever detected. Spray for.
