An East Celtic iron skull with two cheek-pieces, mid-1st century BC until the beginning of the 1st century AD Oval, iron fragment of a helmet in original condition, uncleaned. With it the two matching iron cheek-pieces, each with a chased, stylised crane motif as well as three hatched round-head rivets. Hinges that have been preserved in parts on top. Height approximately 10 cm each. Length of the skull 22 cm. Only five further exemplars like the present helmet of the Novo Mesto type from the Late Iron Age are known so far.
