Vik, Iceland. 24th May, 2018. Weather. A group of American tourists on the dangerous beach in Southern Iceland. Police in South Iceland have issued a warning to visitors at the black sand beaches near the village of Vík in South Iceland. According to the weather forecast ocean conditions are expected to be particularly rough, with larger than usual waves. Police in South Iceland warns that conditions at the beaches can easily become very dangerous in this kind of weather. A strong wind blowing from the south will grow the waves which can be very powerful, even under normal conditions.
