SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 11, 2022) Fire Controlman 2nd Class Samuel Thomas (left), from Carol Stream, Ill., and Fire Controlman 2nd Class Alan Sue, from Houston, fix the grounding strap on the Close-in Weapons System (CWIS) aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ralph Johnson (DDG 114). Ralph Johnson is assigned to Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the 7th fleet’s principal surface force.
