A cavalry pistol M 1789 U/M Adapted from Pistol M 1731. Smooth bore in cal. 17 mm, on upper side somewhat rubbed off eagle mark. Flint lock, on lock plate marked "POTZDAMMAGAZ" and "S et D", broken off hammer spur. Dark full stock with brass mounting, linked ramrod removed according to service regulations. Escutcheon coded "FR" and additional "W". Lock side plate stamped "M" several times and eagle. Nose band inexpertly replaced. Light age and usage marks.
