For 11 years he acted as Haus-vater at the Mission House. He then returned to Potter,Wis., for 5^ years, and later to the first field he served, Wau-sau, Wis. Because of ill health he resigned and resided atWhitewater, Wis. In 1913 he returned to the MissionHouse to assume his former duties. He died Jan. 3, is survived by his widow, one son and three daughters. Rev. John Roeck was born Nov. 8, 1843 at Kirnbach,Germany. At eleven years of age
