Hind wing ochreous whitish, the veins and terminal half suffused with fuscous brown ; a fine black terminal line ; cilia ochreous with a dark line through them; the underside ochreous white, the costal and terminal areas irrorated-with brown, a dark discoidal spot and sinuous postraedial line. Ab. 1. atra. Fore wing more uniform fuscous browni, the lunula on outer edge of reniform more prominent. Ab. 2. Brighter in colour ; metathoracic crest greyish ; fore wing with the medial area suffused with black, the postmedial area whitish; median nervure and bases of veins 3, 4 streaked with white. Hah.
