A woman washing up and preparing her milk bottles for expressing in week 30 of her pregnancy. Mothers who can produce milk for their baby have the option of expressing. Expressing is the process of feeding your baby with your own breast milk with a bottle. There are many products and kits available to facilitate this process; be it manual breast pumps or electric breast pumps. Mammals reproduce by impregnation of sperm from the male of the species into the egg of the female. Once the egg is fertilised by the sperm the egg attaches itself to the wall of the mammals uterus (the organ reserved specially for such an occasion). The fertilised egg then becomes a zygote (one cell) which then starts to divide and multiply. Slowly a life begins to take shape within the womb and eventually, depending on the mammals' individual length of pregnancy, the baby leaves the womb via the vagina (the birth canal) of the mother.
