Srinagar, Kashmir. 04 August 2020. Indian paramilitary soldiers are deployed in Srinagar’s empty streets blocked with barbed wire and barricades during heavy restrictions to prevent protests ahead of 5 August. Shops shutters are down while soldiers keep a close eye on the very few people in the streets during a two days curfew put in place in Kashmir by authorities on a year anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370. On 5 August 2019 the Indian government revoked Article 370, which had guaranteed semi-autonomous status to Indian administered Kashmir
