A seaside shelter on the promenade at Hoylake on The Wirral. This area of The Wirral peninsula was originally developed as a resort for the well-to-do from Liverpool in the 19th century and grew up around the fishing village of Hoose. It was from the nearby-by area known as King's Gap that William III set off for the Battle of the Boyne. Hoylake is also the home of the Royal Liverpool Golf Club which has stages the Open Championship on a number of occasions.
