Petals of great substance, giving it a sh ipping quality not possessed by any other variety. The plant is a strong, healthy grower, averaging about eight feet in height and bushy. An early and profuse bloomer. The fine shapely flowers are set on very long, stout, but graceful stems. "Sylvia" is distinctly a florists' Dahlia, having all the qualities essential to the trade use.
