The largest wall of Boston Ivy in Britain in a blaze of red on Tuesday afternoon (Oct 25) at St John's College Cambridge. The largest wall of Boston Ivy in Britain is putting on one of its best shows ever today (Tues) after turning a blaze of red. The magnificent 170-year-old ivy is looking spectacular and attracting lots of visitors as much of the UK enjoys a bright and sunny Autumnal day. The remarkable creeper on the back of the building at St John's College at Cambridge University is one of the city's most famous autumn spectacles. Every October visitors are treated to the glorious sight of the crimson vine, which covers New Court. "The creeper is putting on a particularly amazing display this year. It's something my family and I come and visit every Autumn," said Peter Williams, from Cambridge.
