Lijiang, Yunnan China - 25 October 2006 This old man is waiting for the kettle to boil in the town centre of Lijiang, an ancient city in the northwest part of China's Yunnan province. Looks ready to me, In addition to Han Chinese, Lijiang is also home to the Naxi and several other ethnic minority groups. Dating to the late Song dynasty, the old town encompasses cobblestone streets, canals, lanterns and a very old feel. So this guy is very much in the character of the place. Note - shot from street.
