They are beyond question the hand- somest of a handsome family, and well deserve their title of " Im- perial" or "Emperor" Morning Glories. Of the easiest culture, can be sown in the open ground in a sunny situation when the weather has become warm settled ; they soon cover a large area, being of strong rapid growth, and even before flowering are decidedly novel and interesting on account of the varied forms of the foliage and their markings. '1 he flowers are of gigantic size, of good substance, remain- ing open the greater part of the day. The colorings are beyond de- scription ; the self or sold colors range from snow-white to black-purple, with all the possible intermediate shades, such as pink, rose, fiery- red, copper-red, carmine, crimson, pale-blue, deep-blue, royal-purple, maroon, indigo, bronze, slate, brown, cherry, ash gray, etc., others are edged with white, having throats of one of the above colors, whde in others this is reversed, the throats being white and the edging of color; there is also an endless number having flowers spotted, marbled, striped, flaked, splashed, etc. per pkt. 2880 Mixed Imperial Japanese, saved from a grand col- lection which we feel sure will produce results more than equal- ling our description of this w onderful plant.
